BCPD: Man accused of threatening neighbor with gun

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A Battle Creek man is in custody, accused of pointing a handgun at a neighbor during a dispute over stolen property, police say.

The Battle Creek Police Department responded around 6 a.m. Wednesday to the 100 block of Yale Street, near Cornell Drive.

Police learned that two neighbors had clashed over stolen property. The alleged victim told police that the suspect had pointed a handgun at him.

The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was found in his home and taken into custody, according to BCPD.

Police say he was jailed for felonious assault.
