The BBC has responded to claims that they have refused to televise Princess Eugenie's upcoming wedding to Jack Brooksbank in Windsor.

While royal fans were able to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lavish - and tear-jerking - nuptials in full on the Beeb, only news coverage of Eugenie and Jack's big day will be available across their services.

An alleged source had reportedly told the Mail On Sundaythat the broadcasting corporation "turned it down because they don't think enough people will tune in and that there isn’t enough support for the Yorks."

A spokesperson for the BBC didn't comment on the ratings rumours, but did confirm to Cosmopolitan UK: "There will be news coverage of the wedding across our services."

Eugenie and Jack's wedding takes place on Friday, October 12 - surprisingly not on a weekend - so it's perhaps fair to assume most people would be at work anyway.

The couple will marry in the very same location as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. The palace recently confirmed that after the service, Eugenie and Jack - similarly to Harry and Meghan - will undertake a short carriage out of Windsor Castle and on to part of the High Street.

Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's lead, they too have invited 1200 members of the public to watch their wedding in Windsor.

The Queen will also host a Reception at Windsor Castle for the newlyweds and guests.

According to recent reports by The Sunday Times, the pair will extend their ceremony to the following Saturday, which will include a festival with a fairground and afternoon tea.

Harry and Meghan's wedding was televised internationally and watched by an audience of over a billion worldwide.

Cosmopolitan UK has also reached out to ITV on reports they will be televising the royal wedding.
