Baton Rouge police officer hit on Airline Highway, officials say
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Emergency officials said that a Baton Rouge police officer was taken to a local hospital in stable condition after they were hit on Airline Highway.
EMS confirmed they were called to the scene around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15.
BRProud has contacted the Baton Rouge Police Department for further details and will provide them when they become available. This is a developing story.
This is the second time that someone has been hit by a vehicle this week in Baton Rouge. BRPD is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian in the 2500 block of Plank Road that happened on Sunday, May 12.
EMS said that one person was transported from this scene in critical condition.
