Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic to merge with Lafayette-based clinic

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic announced Friday they are merging with Lafayette-based Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists, LLC to form Gulf South Orthopedic Partners.

“We are excited about the formation of Gulf South Orthopedic Partners,” said Henry L. Eiserloh, M.D., Chairman of BROC, and Matthew D. Williams, M.D., President of LOS in a joint statement. “The partnership will preserve the LOS and BROC legacies and brands and enable us to combine strengths and resources to better serve our communities with advanced orthopedic care.”

Gulf South Orthopedic Partners will offer the following services including sports medicine, joint replacement, spine surgery, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, orthopedic oncology, orthopedic trauma, pediatric orthopedics and rehabilitation, according to a release.

“We are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care to our patients while driving innovation and excellence in orthopedics and preserving an independent, physician-led practice model,” said Eiserloh and Williams in a joint statement.

BROC and Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists, LLC will remain in their respective markets under their existing brands, but will be combining their expertise and resources, according to a release.

Gulf South Orthopedic Partners is anticipated to “launch in third quarter of 2024,” according to a release.
