Bath man arrested on stalking, burglary charges

BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — A Bath man was arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly inappropriately touched another person and stole from them.

Michael J. Sestak, 60, was arrested on March 8 after a reported domestic incident. According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Sestak either entered or stayed in another person’s home without permission with the intent to commit a crime. Sestak allegedly stole property from the residence, forcibly touched the intimate parts of another person, and caused that person to be afraid of being harmed.

Sestak was charged with second-degree burglary (a class C felony), forcible touching, petit larceny, and fourth-degree stalking.

Sestak’s charges were formally read in the Centralized Arraignment Court, and he was released. He will appear in the Town of Bath Court at a later date.
