Bassett Healthcare to host job fair this weekend

Apr. 30—Bassett Healthcare Network will host a career fair Saturday, May 4, for those interested in clinical and non-clinical health care jobs across the organization's eight-county service area in Chenango, Delaware, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, and Schoharie counties.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bassett Medical Center's Outpatient Clinic in the lobby, next to the hospital at 1 Atwell Road in Cooperstown.

"To provide our patients with the best possible care, one of our top priorities is finding exceptional professionals to join our team," said Staci Thompson, president and CEO of Bassett. "We are welcoming new employees throughout our entire health system."

The career fair "is an opportunity for job seekers to connect with Bassett's leadership and teams, plus engage in on-site interviews, potentially receive same day offers, and get tours of Bassett Medical Center," the release said.

Bassett is offering sign-on bonuses for many full-time and part-time positions, including:

—All practitioners;

—Registered nurses;

—Licensed practical nurses;

—Clinical lab technologists, ultrasound technologists, cardiovascular technicians, radiology technologists, CT technologists, MRI technologists, nuclear medicine technologists, pharmacists, speech pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and social workers;

—Nursing assistants, emergency department technicians, operating room technicians, physical therapy assistants and certified occupational therapy assistants.
