- Stephen Curry scored 20 points on Friday to lead the United States' collection of NBA stars in a 112-86 romp over Puerto Rico in a Basketball World Cup warm-up match.
The Americans also saw the return of Derrick Rose, who had sat out an exhibition victory two nights earlier over the Dominican Republic. Rose scored six points while passing out four assists in 13 minutes at Madison Square Garden.
Puerto Rico stayed level with the Americans at 24-24 through the first quarter, but a 16-4 US run in the second half put the hosts in front to stay.
A final US 12-man line-up must be settled by next Friday as the Americans try to defend their Basketball World Cup crown in Spain starting August 30.
