Baseball bats valued at nearly $6K stolen in Mt. Juliet

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officials are working to identify two people who stole nearly $6,000 in baseball bats from a sporting goods store in Mt. Juliet.

Mt. Juliet police reported the theft happened at the Academy Sports on Pleasant Grove Road on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Video surveillance captured the suspects stealing 13 bats valued at nearly $6,000, according to Mt. Juliet police, and detectives are hoping someone will recognize them.

Mt. Juliet police described the female suspect as a white (of unknown descent) with dark hair, wearing a white Nike shirt and dark-colored pants, pushing a baby stroller with a light-colored item covering the hood portion. The male suspect was described as a white (of unknown descent) with dark hair, wearing a red, white, blue/black striped shirt (colors from top to bottom) and dark pants. The man suspect was pushing an Academy shopping cart with two small children inside.
