‘Barstow Fire’ held at 55 acres north of Lucerne Valley
Firefighters battled the “Barstow Fire,” which started north of Lucerne Valley on Thursday and was held at 55 acres, according to San Bernardino County Fire.
The vegetation fire was reported at about 1:47 p.m. near Highway 247 (Barstow Road), and between Haynes and Waalew roads, just north of Highway 18.
No structures were damaged and no firefighters were reported injured in the blaze, fire officials stated. Crews working on mop-up and containment, and the incident was closed at about 7:09 p.m.
Agencies assisting in the incident included the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, Cal Fire, and the Bureau of Land Management.
