Ja Rule has responded to the two Fyre Festival documentaries that set social media ablaze over the weekend, making clear who the real victim of the multi-million-dollar scam was.
It’s Ja Rule, obviously.
“I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!” Ja Rule wrote on Twitter following a barrage of criticism after the docs, FYRE and FYRE FRAUD, aired on Netflix and Hulu respectively.

Ja Rule co-founded the failed festival with entrepreneur Billy McFarland, who is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for defrauding investors to the tune of $26 million.
“I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers,” he wrote.
He also took aim at Hulu for paying McFarland for an interview, as well as Netflix co-producing their documentary with Jerry Media, who were paid to promote the festival.
“Hulu PAID BILLY!!! That money should have went to the ppl in the Bahamas,” he wrote.
“Netflix PAID fuck Jerry who also did all the promo for the festival. the docs clearly have Billy at fault but let’s blame the rapper lmao ok.”
Haha nice try homie you ain’t getting the goods over Twitter... but I will tell my truth real soon... AND I HAVE RECEIPTS!!! https://t.co/O03JD3VQOl- Ja Rule (@Ruleyork) January 20, 2019
He added: “I had an amazing vision to create a festival like NO OTHER!!! I would NEVER SCAM or FRAUD anyone what sense does that make???”
“I NEVER MADE OR GOT PAID ONE DOLLAR FROM FYRE… BUT EVERYONE ELSE DID!!!”
Elsewhere, Twitter users have raised tens of thousands of pounds on GoFundMe after it emerged that Bahamian restaurant worker Maryann Rolle paid staff $50,000 out of her life savings.
