Baltimore Police: Man killed in shooting in Central Park Heights, two injured in bar fight in Garwyn Oaks

A 30-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Northwest Baltimore on Tuesday night, police say.

At 5:53 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Oakley Ave. in Central Park Heights, less than a mile from Pimlico Race Course, for a reported shooting.

There, they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and medics transported him to a hospital. Shortly after arriving, he was pronounced dead.

Police are asking anyone with information about the killing to call detectives at 410-396-2100, or to make an anonymous report to Metro Crime Stoppers by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP.

At about 9:02 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Garrison Blvd. in the Garwyn Oaks neighborhood to investigate a discharging, police said in a news release.

Officers located a 43-year-old man suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital listed in stable condition, police said.

Sometime later a 47-year-old man walked into an area hospital with a stab wound to the neck seeking treatment. This victim has non-life-threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation revealed that both victims got into an argument at a bar in the 2900 block of Garrison and that both victims assaulted each other, the release said.
