Baltimore County Swears In New Exec And More At Inauguration 2018

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County held its inauguration ceremony on Monday, Dec. 3. The event took place at the SECU Arena at Towson University.

The Towson High School Chamber Choir performed and so did the Milford Mill Band.

"We have a responsibility to create a Baltimore County where [the] future is in reach," County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. said at the ceremony, noting the importance of creating opportunities for children. "That future is possible, and we will build it together."

Outgoing County Executive Don Mohler was the master of ceremonies, and he said that he was marking what would be a "new era" for Baltimore County.

Administrative Judge Kathleen Gallogly Cox administered the oath of office to Clerk of the Court Julie Ensor, who then administered oaths of office to these county officials:

  • County Executive John A. Olszewski Jr.

  • County Council members Tom Quirk, Izzy Patoka, A. Wade Kach, Julian E. Jones, Jr., David Marks, Cathy Bevins and Todd Crandell

  • Judges of the Circuit Court Carey Deeley, Michael Finifter, Ruth Jakubowski and Dennis Robinson

  • Clerk of the Circuit Court Julie Ensor

  • Register of Wills Grace G. Connolly

  • Judges of the Orphans Court William R. Evans, Juliet G. Fisher and Arthur M. Frank

  • Sheriff R. Jay Fisher

  • Baltimore County Board of Education Kathleen S. Causey, Roger B. Hayden, Julie C. Henn, Moalie S. Jose, Russell T. Kuehn, Lisa A. Mack, Rod McMillion, John H. Offerman Jr., Cheryl E. Pasteur, Lily P. Rowe and Makeda Scott
