Balloon release set for Southern University student killed in car crash
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A balloon release honoring the life of a Brusly native who was killed in a Monday car crash in Iberville Parish is set for Wednesday evening.
Khai Walker, 18, died after a head-on crash with a tow truck Monday morning, according to Louisiana State Police.
Walker was identified as a former Brusly High School student by West Baton Rouge Schools. Southern University said in a Tuesday social media post that Walker was a freshman student studying pre-nursing.

The university said the ballon release is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 in The Circle, a student residential area on campus.
School officials said counseling is available for all students at the University Counseling Center.
