"We didn't want this pop-up experience to compete with an established, fabulous shopping center that has been here already. So we're looking for markets that don't have easy access to the types of brands that we're bringing," Lazenby explained. "We look to add this experience in markets where we can demonstrate high net worth. We want to do well for our participating tenants to make sure that there's a customer for their product there and quality products available to the shoppers."

In addition to shopping, Bal Harbour will host diners in a 150-seat pop-up dining concept, The Whitman. The restaurant will feature a Latin-inspired, Sarasota-specific menu in an al fresco setting.
