Bakersfield National Cemetery seeks volunteers for Memorial Day ceremony

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Bakersfield National Cemetery is coming up, but your help is needed to make it happen.

Volunteers are needed for several events leading up to the main ceremony. Helpers are needed to place flags at the gravestones on Thursday, May 23.

Mindful Monday: Men’s mental health

The cemetery will commemorate Memorial Day with a ceremony on Saturday, May 25 at 9 a.m. Veterans, their families and friends and members of the community are invited to attend.

Volunteers are also needed for May 28, to help clear the flags.
