Baker High School to offer 4-day week option to junior, senior students
BAKER, La. (BRPROUD) — The City of Baker School System plans to offer a four-day week option to high school seniors and juniors next school year.
Superintendent JT Stroder said in an April 9 Facebook post that school leaders have been looking for ways to motivate students to focus on schoolwork, behavior and attendance.
“City of Baker School District is taking a positive approach to encourage students to come to school and put forth their best effort towards behavior and academic performance,” said Stroder.

Upperclassmen who meet certain criteria set by the high school will have the option to attend school for four days rather than five. Stroder said students would have to meet behavioral, academic achievement and attendance standards.
