SEATTLE (AP) — A 50-year-old driver suspected of killing two pedestrians and severely injuring a woman and a 10-day-old baby has been ordered held on $2.5 million bail during a court hearing.
Mark Mullan is being held Tuesday on investigation of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. He has not been formally charged.
Seattle police say alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in Monday's crash.
The medical examiner's office says 66-year-old Dennis Schulte and 68-year-old Judith Schulte were killed in the crash. A hospital spokeswoman says a 33-year-old woman and the 10-day-old infant remained in critical condition Tuesday morning.
Police say in a court document that Mullan was driving with a suspended driver's license at the time of Monday's crash.
It was unclear Tuesday who was representing Mullan.
