Back in the saddle: WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo now ongoing

The 26th annual Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA) World Championship Ranch Rodeo is taking place Thursday through Sunday at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, 401 S. Buchanan.

Among Saturday's highlights is the new Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo, where up to eight youth teams will compete for the first-ever WRCA Youth World Champion title.

“Our youngsters are so important. They are the next generation of our ranching community,” John Welch, WRCA president, said in a news release. “We have been looking for the right time to make this event happen, and that time is now.”
