The 'Bachelor' finale leaves both women stunned

On The Bachelor finale, Arie Luyendyk Jr. asked Becca Kufrin to marry him right after he sent Lauren Burnham packing. That was a move he came to regret.

Lauren had professed her love to Arie, saying, “You’re the man that I’ve been looking for my whole life.” To which he immediately replied, “Umm. …” He went on to tell Lauren their relationship was over.

As Lauren drove away she said, “I feel betrayed. How could you do that to somebody? I don’t get it. He just completely blindsided me.”

Arie and Becca spent a few more days in Peru enjoying their engagement and time alone. But when they were back stateside, things started to go sideways.

Arie could not stop thinking about Lauren. “I go to bed and I think about Lauren, and I wake up and I think about Lauren,” he said.

He decided to break it off with Becca to rekindle things with Lauren. He told Becca, “I just felt, the further along we got, the further I started drifting away from the possibility of trying it again with [Lauren].” She said, “Yeah, because that’s a normal relationship — that’s what should’ve been happening.”

Fans were just as shocked as Becca. And that shock turned to anger on social media. Especially when Arie refused to leave, despite Becca’s numerous requests.

And while fans were expecting some type of “After the Rose” event, host Chris Harrison announced that ABC had added a night of Bachelor. Turns out, Becca is going to have the chance to speak with Arie in front of everyone. And we’ll learn whether or not Lauren took Arie back.

The Bachelor finale is now scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
