Avocado oil recalled because bottles can break, leak

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Primal Kitchen is recalling roughly 2,060 cases of avocado oil because the glass bottles may be prone to breaking and spilling, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The affected bottles of “Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil” were sold in the eastern United States, California and online nationally, according to the FDA.

The issue was first discovered by workers at the Primal Kitchen warehouse, who noticed the avocado oil had leaked during transit.

The 750 ml bottles of avocado oil were individually packaged (UPC 8-5523200719-4), and by the case (UPC 108552320071910000). The impacted bottles have “Best When Used By” dates between “19 Aug 2025” through “21 Aug 2025.”

No other batches, formats or sizes of the avocado oil are included in the recall.

Anyone who purchased the recalled avocado oil should throw it out and contact Primal Kitchen for instructions on how to receive a refund.
