Avacado oil sold nationally recalled due to packaging issue

(WHTM) – Thousands of cases of avocado oil are being recalled because the glass bottles may be prone to breaking.

According to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, there is a voluntary recall of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil after it was discovered oil leaked through shipping containers.

This Week in Pennsylvania

There are approximately 2,060 cases of the 750 mL bottles sold across the eastern United States, California, and online nationally affected by the recall.

Products included in the recall include 750mL Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil with an individual package UPC of 8-5523200719-4, Case UPC of 108552320071910000, and a “Best When Used By” date of 19 Aug 2025 through 21 Aug 2025.

Consumers who purchased the affected avocado oils should dispose of it and contact Primal Kitchen from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, at +1 (888) 774-6259.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
