Autograph, NFT company co-founded by Tom Brady, partners with IndyCar, IMS and Team Penske

The IndyCar series, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Team Penske have caught the eyes of Tom Brady, Tiger Woods and some of the greatest athletes and business people around. Autograph, the NFT platform co-founded and co-chaired by Brady, announced an exclusive multi-year partnership with Penske Entertainment and Team Penske on Tuesday.

The deal comes ahead of the partners' first premiere NFT collection drop around next month's 106th running of the Indianapolis 500. According to the news release, the Greatest Spectacle in Racing will serve as a launch point as both companies plan to make use of "Penske's iconic motorsports properties, leveraging extremely vast historical archives, past and present drivers and race cars and ticketing activations around the Indy 500."

More information about those drops of NFTs, one-of-a-kind or limited runs of digital assets that often represent art or videos, will follow in a few weeks.

"Autograph is thrilled to partner with all of Penske's motorsport brands to honor its legacy and to help lay the groundwork for its future in Web3 (an area of the internet that utilizes the blockchain)," Dillon Rosenblatt, co-founder and CEO of Autograph, said in a release. "Launching a collection with a growing racing series and one of the most important motorsports teams ever, ahead of the biggest single-day spectator sporting event in the world, is a privilege we do not take lightly."

Added Penske Corp. executive vice president Jonathan Gibson: "The convergence of sports and technology provides us many unique opportunities, including this new opportunity with NFTs and digital collectibles to get closer to the sport through this new innovative relationship."
