The kits

Who's the coach?
Bert van Marwijk who led Saudi Arabia to qualification here and traduced a tradition by turning total footballers into total cloggers when he took Holland to the 2010 final.
Who's the star?
Aaron Mooy, Huddersfield’s old school industrious schemer right down to the Voldemort crop, excels in a deeper role, spraying passes with both feet and shielding the defence.
Best thing about them
Van Marwijk promises more structure and discipline and will use his talented midfielders, Mooy, Tom Rogic and Massimo Luongo to crack opposition defences on the break.
Worst thing about them
No established striker bar Tim Cahill, who will be 39 in December and hasn’t managed to play more than 25 minutes in a club game all season.
You may recognise…
Mile Jedinak, Villa and former Palace defensive midfielder, who has the beard and haircut of a Texan hot-rod mechanic or Haggerston micro-brewer.
Cameramen will be picking out...
The world’s greatest travellers turning one end of each stadium canary yellow while Men at Work treasure welcome royalty checks from the soundtrack.
Fans' favourite chant
‘Olé, Olé, Olé, Olé, Aussie, Aussie!’
On-field prediction
Arch pragmatist Van Marwijk cannot manage to wheedle them out of the group but heads are held high.
Off-field prediction
Mateship and orchestrated enthusiasm. Like Palace but from a land Down Under.
