Australia has a new $10 note and reactions are ... mixed
Australia's new $10 note is a colourful, plastic-coated talking point that has the country pretty neatly divided.

The design was unveiled by the Reserve Bank of Australia, and will go into circulation this September.

The new note follows the redesign of the $5 note last year, one that had people, um, underwhelmed.
Indeed, some people are pretty worried that the new $10 note will replicate the problems with the fiver, namely the fact most vending machines don't accept the new currency.
Oh wow a new $10 note that won't work in any vending machine, just like the new $5 note!

That's the face of Australian poet and all-round legend A.B. Banjo Paterson on both the old and the new note, so no big changes there — but the old note also featured quotes from his poetry while the new one does not, a downgrade that has some people peeved ...
Ummmm... it looks like the new $10 note doesn't have the Man From Snowy River poem on it. @RBAInfo? pic.twitter.com/hdGvLSGnj1

... and other people ready to make jokes.

There are other people out there with stranger, less defined concerns.
I didn't mind getting a new $5 note but I do NOT want a NEW ten dollar NOTE.

But hey, it's not all bad news: like the redesigned $5 note, the new tenner features a tactile strip for easy identification for the visually impaired.
And on top of that, there are some people feeling pretty good about the whole redesign, particularly its increased animal count:
The new $10 note has cockatoos on it and therefore it is excellent. pic.twitter.com/m0XYMpEgdE

New $10 note is pretty rad. Could use more horses though. https://t.co/C3Ydf8XMJW

And of course, as with any debate, there are people out there questioning the point of the whole argument, one way or the other:
At first I was aghast at the new ten dollar note and then I remembered I never use cash.
