Augusta residents can meet local candidates in upcoming forums

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Augusta residents have an opportunity to get to know their local candidates in two upcoming candidate forums.

The Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is hosting “A Partnership for the People presents: Candidate Forums.”

Organizers say the forums are April 20th at 10 AM and April 27th at 12:30 P.M. at the A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School Auditorium located on Laney Walker Blvd.

According to organizers, Forum 1 includes Commission Candidates for Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, and Forum 2 includes the candidates for Superior Court Judge, District Attorney, Georgia State Representatives District 129, and Richmond County Sheriff along with the upcoming referendums.
