Auburn Police: Man arrested on first-degree sexual abuse charge

AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) — A Wilsonville, Alabama, man was arrested on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree sexual abuse.

The arrest stems back to Jan. 21 when the victim reported a sexual assault by a known acquaintance at an Auburn home.

Police identified Carson Scott West, 22, as the suspect and a warrant was put out for his arrest. West was taken into custody on March 1 by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Shelby County.

West was taken to Lee County on March 2 and the warrant was executed. He is currently being held on a $5,000 bond at Lee County Jail.
