ATM burglary in Cedaredge

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Cedaredge police found an ATM lying on the highway Wednesday morning after an attempted burglary.

At around 4:55 a.m. on Wednesday, The Cedaredge Police Department responded to a large bank teller machine found in the 900 Block of South Grand Mesa Drive (Highway 65).

Officers reportedly found several pieces of evidence at multiple crime scenes.

A Cedaredge viewer sent WesternSlopeNow a photo suggesting a skid steer was used in the burglary.

The Delta Police Blotter shows officers responded to what they called a destroyed ATM in Delta on March 31. A skid steer was found near the crime scene and officers presumed it was involved in the burglary.

This is an active police investigation with no further information available at this time.
