ATF investigates 2023 fatal Okmulgee fire

OKMULGEE, Okla. (KFOR) – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Muskogee Field Office is looking for more information regarding a fatal fire from November 2023.

On November 15, 2023, around 5:55 a.m., a fire happened near the 1000 block of W. 6th St. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

According to ATF, once the fire was put out, three bodies were discovered. Investigators began looking into the incident and are looking for the public’s help finding whoever might be involved.

Officials say a $5,000 reward may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible.

“ATF’s Certified Fire Investigators and Special Agents lend their expertise and guidance to our partners on causation of fires and arson investigations to bring answers to those affected. Fire, when used as a tool of violence, can ruin lives, property, and the American sense of security. No matter the causation of this fire, ATF is resolute to help our partners investigate in hopes to bring closure to the families of the deceased” stated ATF Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey C. Boshek II.
