Asia Argento Allegedly Admitted to Sex With Minor in Text Messages

"I didn't know he was a minor until the shakedown letter," she allegedly wrote.

Text messages obtained by TMZ allegedly written by actress Asia Argento appear to show she admitted to having sex with a minor.

TMZ published the text messages that Argento allegedly wrote to a friend earlier this week after former child actor Jimmy Bennett claimed she had sex with him when he was 17.

“I had sex with him it felt weird. I didn’t know he was a minor until the shakedown letter,” she allegedly wrote.

The friend responded, "What’s up with the photo taken in bed?"

"It doesn't mean s***,” Argento allegedly replied. “He is standing up.”

Argento implies that Bennett was the aggressor in the exchange.

"The horny kid jumped me,” she said. “It wasn't rape but I was frozen. He was on top of me. After he told me I had been his sexual fantasy since he was 12."

A photo shows the actress, who earned famed as a key Harvey Weinstein accuser, in bed with Bennett. The photo was reportedly taken in a California hotel room in 2013 when he was 17. The age of consent in California is 18.

The photo, obtained by TMZ, seems to contradict the Italian actress’ claim that she did not have sex with Bennett at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Argento's late boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, reportedly paid Bennett, now 22, $380,000 in hush money, she said in a statement Tuesday while denying the allegations against her.

She said in the texts that if her career is ruined by the scandal, "I will move to Africa or the Amazon forest."
