ArtPrize artist registration opens for 2024
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Artist registration is now open for this year’s ArtPrize.
Artists have until May 31 to register. For a single artist, the registration fee is $65. For collaborative entries, the fee is $130.
This year, ArtPrize has six categories for entries: 2-D, 3-D, Time-Based, Installation, New Media and +Design. Updated Artist Rules and Handbook have been released for the 2024 ArtPrize.
ArtPrize said that $200,000 in grants are available “to provide artists with essential resources for presenting ambitious projects and captivating exhibitions, with a focus on promoting artistic innovation, enhancing community engagement, and transforming downtown Grand Rapids into a series of impactful, must-see art destinations.”

Why ArtPrize had a bigger economic impact in 2023
This year’s ArtPrize is set to take place from Sept. 13 through Sept. 28. The annual competition attracted more than 714,000 visitors in 2023 and had an economic impact of around $54.7 million, a study from Grand Valley State University found.
