‘Arrr’ you ready for the Fresno Pirate Festival?

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Kearney Park will be exclusively open this weekend for the Fresno Pirate Festival, according to city officials.

The event will be on May 18 and May 19 and will be open to the public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Sunday it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to event organizers, there will be jugglers, storytellers, daredevils, and animal interaction. There will also be tons of vendors selling jewelry, leather goods, pottery, period clothing, swords and knives, and much more.

Organizers say there will also be varied pirate and privateer eras with period-appropriate encampments that patrons can interact with to teach attendees about the past.

General admission is $20, senior student and military discount tickets are $15 and parking is $5. For more information, click here.
