Arrests made after Mount Holly teen fatally shot, found lying in driveway

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two teens have been charged with murder in connection to the fatal shooting of a Mount Holly teenager in January, authorities said.

D’Majay Micheal Robinson, 18, and an unnamed juvenile have both been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of a teen boy, whose name will not be released.

According to Mount Holly Police, officers were called to a home along Gander Way on Jan. 18, for reports of a shooting. The teen boy was found lying in the driveway, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers rendered medical aid to the teen until paramedics arrived. Despite efforts made at the scene, the teen passed away from his injuries.

“These arrests are a testament to the tireless work of law enforcement,” Chief Brian Reagan said in a released statement on Monday. “We extend our gratitude to the U.S. Marshals, Gaston County Crime Scene Investigators, and the CMPD Crime Scene Investigators for their invaluable assistance in bringing closure to this tragic case.”
