Arrest warrant issued for Pennsylvania State Representative Kevin Boyle. What we know

According to published reports, an arrest warrant has been issued for State Rep. Kevin Boyle, alleging the Democrat legislator violated the terms of a protection from abuse order granted to his estranged wife.

Boyle allegedly has been unlawfully sending text message to his estranged wife.

Boyle, D-172, represents parts of Philadelphia and Montgomery County.

What did Kevin Boyle do?

Published reports indicate Boyle in 2021 Boyle was charged with violating a protection order and harassment for being at his wife’s home. The lawmaker underwent mental health treatment and the charges were dropped.

Boyle was stripped of his committee House finance chair role and lost access to the Capitol earlier this year after video surfaced of him making threats at a bar.

Boyle's House website does not indicate his is a current member of any committee.

Boyle hasn't commented yet on the arrest warrant; Democratic leaders have not yet addressed the incident.

Boyle first won election to the state House in 2011.
