Arrest made after stabbing threats in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they arrested a man after he allegedly made threats to commit a stabbing in Wilkes-Barre.

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department says on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. officers were called to South Washington Street for a reported attempted stabbing.

Once arriving on the scene officers said the victim argued with a man identified as Isiah Tillman, 64, Larksville, over “money.”

The victim stated that during the argument Tillman allegedly showed that he had a knife and threatened to cut the victim’s throat, police stated.

Tillman was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing.
