Arrest made in Highland Heights shooting that left man critical

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An arrest has been made after a shooting that took place last year in the Highland Heights area left a man in critical condition.

Quordarious Lee, 28, has been charged with criminal attempt first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

According to reports, officers responded to an aggravated assault on November 29, 2023, around 6:21 p.m. at 1073 National Street. The victim stated that he was leaving the store and got into his car when a suspect known as “Rachet” jumped into his passenger seat.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his property, police say. When the victim tried to run, the suspect then shot him in the back.

Reports state that the suspect took the victim’s money and cell phone from his pockets as he stood over him. He then left the scene on foot.

The store surveillance camera captured the suspect pulling out an AR-15-style rifle from his pants before leaving the store, police say.
