Arrest made in deadly 2023 shooting on Clover Lane in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A murder suspect was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting from October of 2023, according to the Columbus Police Department.

Police say Reginald Wright, 36, was taken into custody in Dothan, Alabama before being extradited back to Columbus on Tuesday.

INITIAL REPORT: CPD searching for wanted man in connection with deadly Clover Lane shooting

Warrants were issued for Wright’s arrest on November 17, 2023. Wright faces the following charges:

  • Murder

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

The charges stem back to Oct. 25, 2023, when 50-year-old Frank Bell was found dead after being shot multiple times.

Wright is scheduled to appear in court on Friday at 9 a.m.
