LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police arrested a man in a five-vehicle crash that left two teenagers dead in early March, according to police.

Jacob Ybarra, 26, of Las Vegas faces two counts of reckless driving resulting in death and two counts of failure to stop at the scene of a crash, records showed.

Around 10:10 p.m. on March 1, police responded to a multi-vehicle fatal crash in the area of Vegas and Pyramid drives near Rancho Road.

Police said that a Ford Crown Victoria and an unknown dark sedan, later identified as a 2015 Acura TLX, were traveling together east on Vegas Drive at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection of Pyramid Drive.

At the same time, a Nissan Frontier was turning left from Pyramid Drive to westbound Vegas Drive. The crash occurred when the Nissan crossed paths with the Ford, causing it to hit the right side of the Ford. The Ford then hit a light pole, where it came to rest, police said.

Debris from the crash hit two parked cars and the Acura TLX continued east on Vegas Drive.
