Memorial service dates announced for all fallen officers killed in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Memorial service details have been announced for three of the four law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty earlier this week.

Services for Deputy US Marshal Thomas Weeks will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6, at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex located at 2700 E. Independence Blvd. in Charlotte.

Services for North Carolina Department of Corrections Officer William ‘Alden’ Elliott will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 6 p.m., at the Tarlton Complex on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.

Services for North Carolina Department of Corrections Officer Sam Poloche will be held on Monday, May 13, at 1 p.m., pending a location.

A procession was held for Poloche on Friday, May 3, from the medical examiner’s office.

A memorial service was held for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Joshua Eyer on Friday, May 3, at First Baptist Church in Uptown.
