Army Engineers in Texas Lay Barbed Wire at Mexico Border

The Department of Defense said troops helped US Customs and Border Protection agents to lay barbed wire along the Mexico border at Mission, Texas, on November 5, ahead of the expected arrival of a migrant caravan from Central America.

The wire was laid along the Anzalduas International Bridge at the port of entry in Mission as part of Operation Faithful Patriot, the department said. The operation includes plans to deploy more than 5,000 active-duty personnel to aid the Department of Homeland Security and US Customs and Border Protection at the border.
