Armor, artillery, air defense in forthcoming US aid package for Ukraine — report
Washington is preparing a substantial military aid package for Ukraine that will include armored vehicles, artillery, and air defense systems, Politico reported on April 22, citing unnamed U.S. officials.
The aid package will exceed the most recent $300 million assistance provided to Kyiv, officials familiar with the discussions stated.
Two U.S. officials claimed that the package would contain armored vehicles. Another source suggested that more Bradley IFVs, Humvees, M113 APCs, and missiles will be included in the shipment.
The officials described the assistance as "a substantial package that will help meet Ukraine’s combat needs."

On April 20, after six months of delay, the House of Representatives passed a bill that includes over $60 billion in military aid for Ukraine. The final bill mandates the transfer of ATACMS ballistic missiles to Kyiv.
The U.S. Senate is expected to consider the bill on April 23, after which it would require President Joe Biden's signature. Strong bipartisan support for the measure means that it’s likely to pass without a hitch.
On April 21, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner said that the United States could send a new aid package to Ukraine by the end of the week.
