Armed suspects involved in Rock Hill chase arrested: Sheriff

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two suspects who were armed with a gun during a chase that started with a failed traffic stop in Rock Hill are now in custody, the York County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Deputies stated that they attempted to conduct a traffic stop overnight on a vehicle in Rock Hill around 1 a.m. Wednesday for running a stop light on Cherry Road. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The suspects, Chester residents Emmanuel Davis and Jihad Davis, were eventually arrested and both are expected to face charges. No injuries were reported.

A gun that was thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit was later recovered, according to the sheriff’s office.
