Armed group injure two men in Nuthall pub garden attack

Two men have been injured in a "nasty attack" at a pub garden involving masked men carrying shovels and a machete.

Nottinghamshire Police attended Millers Barn in Nuthall on Friday after a brawl started at about 18:55 BST.

It was reported that three people wearing face coverings ran over and started the assault.

A man was left with cuts to his hands while another suffered a blow to the back of his head, police said.

The force said the group with the weapons were seen to flee the scene, jumping over a fence before getting into a car and driving away.

Officers are now urging witnesses to come forward as an investigation continues.

Det Insp James Oakton said: "This was a nasty attack that will have been seen by multiple people, due to the time and location it took place."

Police patrols have been increased in the area since the attack, the force added.
