Arkansas VA health care enrollment rises by 42% in past year

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Department of Veterans Affairs says more Arkansas veterans are signing up for health care.

According to the VA, nearly 3,500 Arkansas veterans have signed up in the past year, 42% higher than the previous year.

The VA credits the increase to the PACT Act which has allowed the VA to extend health care and benefits to millions of veterans.

The VA says it’s continuing its aggressive outreach efforts throughout the year. It hopes to see even more veterans enroll in care.
