Arkansas Storm Team Blog: Severe storms possible Monday night

Our next chance for rain and storms arrives Monday night. The greatest risk for severe weather will be in Northwest Arkansas, and into portions of Oklahoma and Missouri. The highest risk will be in Oklahoma.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for portions of northwest Arkansas until 1 AM.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, and large hail will be possible. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out, however, the chance is greater across northwest Arkansas and into Oklahoma and Missouri.

Current timing shows storms moving in late Monday evening, after around 9 PM. Storms will continue to push eastward throughout the overnight hours.
