LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas lawmakers plan to meet for a special session from June 17-21 on income tax and the budget for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, according to Arkansas Senate Minority Leader Greg Leding and State Sen. Bryan King.

The last fiscal session ended early this month without a set budget for the AGFC.

Controversy about the budget revolves around the line item increase the agency wants for the AGFC director.

The deadline to pass the budget is July 1. The AGFC can’t spend its money or pay employees if a budget isn’t passed.
