Officials said nominations are not limited to a certain field or accomplishment and are for Latinos who have:

  • Made significant and enduring contributions to their field of endeavor, professional or otherwise.

  • Affected the social, cultural, economic, or political well-being of the community, state or nation.

  • Elevated the status of Latinos and positively impacted the Latino community.

  • Helped open new frontiers for Latinos and for society in general.

  • Inspired others by their example.

“The importance of recognizing individuals who have contributed to the enrichment of our state serves to inspire the next generation of leaders,” Chair of the Arkansas Latino Hall of Fame Angele Galvis Schnuerle said.

Latino voters are coveted by both major parties. They also are a target for election misinformation

The induction of honorees will take place Oct. 24 at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.

Nominations may be made, and additional information can be found at ARLatinoHallofFame.com.
