Argument leads to 5 people being shot Saturday around barber shop: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials with the Mobile Police Department have released more information about a shooting that took place in a barber shop on Pleasant Valley Road on Saturday.

According to an MPD release, officers were called to a barber shop at 3361A Pleasant Valley Road around 2:30 p.m. for a shooting.

Officers said an argument had begun between two people, which escalated when the suspect began shooting into the barber shop towards the victim.

The victim then allegedly began firing shots at the suspect, leading the victim and the suspect to be wounded. Two other people inside the barber shop were also injured, along with a woman sitting outside of Mobile Bay Harley Davidson.

All five people were taken to local hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
