Area news in brief for May 21

VETERANS FLAGS − Alliance Memorial Day Committee will be placing flags on veterans' graves starting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Alliance City Cemetery. Those who wish to volunteer should meet at the storage building by the cemetery's maintenance building to pick up flags and section maps.

MINERVA HOF – Minerva High School’s Alumni Association has scheduled the induction of three more graduates. The event will be at 6:30 p.m. June 8 in the school’s Auditeria. Scheduled to be inducted are Dr. W. Lynn Campbell, Class of 1988; Dan Toalston, Class of 1969 and Cathy (Bartley) Viola, Class of 1973. Tickets for the event are $30. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Contact the school for information on tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Clark, Clark & Chaddock Law Office at 201 N.
