Apprentice Winner Speaks Out After Brother Joins ISIS

Apprentice winner Yasmina Siadatan has spoken out after her brother, Isaiah Siadatan, left the UK to join ISIS fighters in Syria.

The businesswoman won the 2009 series of the show and worked with Lord Alan Sugar, now running a successful restaurant.

It was discovered that her 24-year-old brother had gone to take part in extremist activities in Syria during an Old Bailey trial that found four extremists, including Isiah’s wife, guilty of terrorism charges.

A spokesperson for Yasmina has now spoken out on the TV star’s behalf, revealing that she only found out that her brother was involved with ISIS after the trial.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the rep said: “[Yasmina] wishes to make it clear that she condemns these alleged actions and political views in the strongest terms possible.”

It is thought that Isiah travelled to Syria with fellow extremists Sajid Aslam and Jacob Petty, with his wife Kerry Thomason being arrested as she attempted to board a flight to Turkey alongside their three children in October last year.

It has been claimed that Isiah threatened to kill his wife if she refused to join him in the Islamic state.

Kerry is now awaiting sentencing alongside two other women.
