Apply now for Downtown Norfolk’s 38th Annual Grand Illumination Parade

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Downtown Norfolk has opened the application period for the 38th Annual Grand Illumination Parade.

This year’s parade theme for 2024 is “Retro Wonderland.” It it scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. immediately following the official Grand Illumination of the Downtown Norfolk skyline.

Parade applications are open for various roles including: marching bands, floats, animal brigades, motorized units, and walking units.

The early bird deadline for applications is Aug. 18, and the official deadline is Sept. 15, 2024.
